I'm thankful
for today; though trying as it's been
for the patience that GOD has put within
for my heart; packed to capacity with love
for each blessing that's been sent down from above
for this time of year and all it means to me
So thankful that I've eyes to see the forest and the trees
I'm thankful for my family, though no longer tightly knit
So thankful for the memories that keep me loving it
I'm thankful for my husband, for his faithfully loves
for my boys, the sweetest thing I know
I'm thankful that I know the LORD,
to teach them how to grow
Still thankful for my tears, for steadily they flow
for their humbling effect and how they make me know
That the LORD my GOD is with me, and I will be alright
As long as I keep my little lamp lit and JESUS in my sight
I'm thankful for this testimony and all of those I've heard
for each person that's passed on an encouraging word
I'm so very thankful for all I get, and even more,
being able to give
I'm thankful to know my purpose in life -
cause with it I know I will live
