berhubung obor olimpiade udah keliling, so gw buatkan thread ini buat ngebahas semua yg berhubungan dg olimpiade 2008

yang menarik dr olimpiade ini adanya isu masalah Tibet. bbrp atlet pembawa obor melakukan boikot dan menuai protes dimana2. dan kayaknya bakalan rame nih (udah rame padahal)

yoii itu yang di tv juga sebagian disensor, banyak kejadian2 yang nyeremin (bagi yg bawa obor ;p)
dari yg ngerebut, nyirem pake aer, nubruk pake sepeda, pura2 nyamar jadi polisi ^^

Gue juga baru dapet imel disuruh ikutan demo di SF. Ngapain, berat di ongkos. Orang2 udah pada taroh banner gede2 di golden gate nentang China. Bakal seru dan ada tontonan menarik. Kudu siap2 banyakin popcorn.

pemerinta china udah dari dulu terkenal sadis (inget tragedi Thian An Men Square 1989)

sulit lah buat Tibet untuk didenger
lawannya Cina gitu lo, USA juga ga berani
kalo masalah vietnam atau kuwait lawannya kan kecil2 jadi US berani ikut campur.
menurut gw bakal jatuh korban lebih besar lagi mendekati olimpiade 2008

Tadi liat pembukaan Beijing Olimpiade, ini yang paling spektakuler dari yang pernah ada, China parade budanyanya dari yang kuno sampai ke yang modern. Kombinasi tradisional dengan hi-tech. Inggris pasti pusing gimana bikin Olimpiade th 2012 yang lebih




Media Inggris paling kristis di Olimpic Beijing ini, salah satu Diva-nya (Sarah Brightman) diberi kehormatan nyanyi di atas bola dunia :



China prepare 4 everything, misal tadi selama pembukaan olimpiade airport tutup, tidak boleh ada pesawat terbang lewat. Telpon SMS kesana juga ngga' bisa, selesai upacara bisa masuk lagi. Ada beberapa teman orang Indonesia dapat undangan khusus, dia cerita orang2 pilihan ini dikarantina (kayak atlet saja), takut kalau2 dipakai teroris melakukan sesuatu.

Tadi taruhan sama ponakan2 siapa kira2 yang jadi "the last torch bearer", hampir semua mengira Yao Ming, aku bilang Yao Ming terlalu "nge-pop", apalagi YaoMing dah bawa bendera, pasti yang legendaris seperti Li Ning, eh bener...


Si anak kecil ini hebat, hero di gempa bumi Sechuan, dia menyelamatkan 2 temannya dari kematian.


Tadi Liat Lining lari seperti zaman keemasannya dulu keren banget, sekarang dia udah jadi konglomerat untuk produk olah-raga. Di China udah menggeser merek terkenal "Nike". Beberapa hari ini aku ke Gym pakai kaus dan sepatu Lining, orang tanya merk apa itu, Aku bilang ini merek lokal Chung-kuo, murah tapi keren.
